Drowsy Driver Charged

Cell Phone Record Cited On Thursday, January 12th Michael John Kozlowski, 23, was charged with five counts of negligent homicide after he allegedly fell asleep at the wheel while driving a produce truck from Indiana to the Twin Cities.

Kozlowski crashed into a band bus returning to Wisconsin; the crash resulted in five deaths including the band director, his wife, their granddaughter and the bus driver. Witnesses said Kozlowski had been driving erratically, and though he claims he slept for eight hours, cell phone logs show he was awake during this time.
